The goal is still the same - include all providers who serve individuals with disabilities in Ohio. Nexus builds on the directory provided by the Services and Supports Database by adding links to local events and programs. Now you can locate intervention service providers, social skills training, or a list of sensory-friendly movies - all in one place.
The end result is that Nexus provides you with nearby resources PLUS happenings in your area.
We've also improved the search options. Type in a keyword like "Autism," "Dentist," or "Dance class." You can also search by age range, topic, zip code, or city/town to find organizations, service providers, and events and programs in your immediate area. These new options are designed to help you quickly find what you need and connect with your community.
"Rome wasn't built in a day ..." That old adage holds true for Nexus. We're just now beginning to populate Nexus with information and listings. The Services and Supports Database will continue to operate until the transition to Nexus is complete.
You can still search the Services and Supports Database by age range, service category, and zip code.
